SUMMER SUNDAYS AND OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS


Hello,


With the Summer now upon us and with the warmer weather hopefully around the corner, we are tweaking the way we run our Sunday Lunches.

Our Plan is to offer one proper Traditional Sunday Lunch with a Cooked joint once a month. On the other Sundays, we will offer a Lunchtime menu that will have a choice of 4 mains and 3 Puddings, all with a more summer feel to them.  Please still book tables but you can choose your food when you arrive.

This new style of Menu will available be from 12.00 till 2.30 so you can book a table anytime during this period.

To give you an idea of what’s on offer, see the proposed menus below.


Sunday 21st July

Traditional Sunday Lunch with Roast lamb or Roast Chicken


Sunday 28th July

Chicken Escalope with ratatouille, tender stem broccoli and sauté potatoes.

Cromer Crab Salad with Warm Potato salad + a ciabatta roll.

Slow Cooked Lamb tagine with fruity cous cous.

Homemade Steak Burger with Chunky chips, Coleslaw and Homemade Relish.


Sunday 4th August

Chicken Breast with Wild mushroom sauce, with new potatoes and green beans.

Individual Crab and Prawn Quiche with coleslaw and warm herb new potatoes.

Sticky Pork with Asian Chop Salad.

Homemade Beef Lasagne with garlic bread and Salad.


Sunday 11th August

Scallops with creamy mash, Crispy Bacon and a warm tomato and herb salad.

Pan fried Chicken breast served with a traditional Caesar salad.

Homemade Minted Lamb Burger with Chunky chips, Coleslaw and Homemade Relish.

Seabass Fillet with a roasted tomato salsa, New Potatoes and tender stem broccoli.


Sunday 18th August

Pan fried Chicken breast served on a Pea Risotto.

Pan fried Salmon fillet with ratatouille, tender stem broccoli and sauté potatoes.

Slow Cooked spicy pork tagine with Moroccan cous cous.

Cromer Crab Salad with Warm Potato salad and a ciabatta roll.


Sunday 25th August

Traditional Sunday Lunch with Roast Pork or Roast Chicken.



Other Upcoming Events.


Friday 2nd August – Taste of the Sea

We will be running a 2 course Lunch menu inspired by the sea with the following available:

Crab Gratin with New Potatoes and salad.

Pan fried Seabass Fillet served on Pea Risotto.

Pan fried Salmon Fillet with Ratatouille and herb Potatoes.

Prawn Cocktail Salad.

Beer battered Cod fillet with Chunky chips, mushy peas and Homemade Tartar sauce.


Followed by Lemon Tart with fresh raspberries, Chocolate Berry Brownie with ice cream or Cornish ice cream, topped with clotted cream and blackcurrant coulis.


Please book for this lunch if you can, to avoid disappointment. This special menu will be available 12.00 till 2.30pm. The cost will vary with what you order and will be dependent on market price… but it will still be delicious and very good value.


Saturday 3rd August - Captains Day

A Running buffet will be available over lunch with Homemade Quiche, Homecooked Ham and Rare Roast Beef served with a selection of salads. Tony and Brandon will then be channelling their inner Italian roots serving Ice cream in cones with homemade ice cream sauces. 

We will be assuming everyone who’s playing golf in this event is staying for lunch, but if you’re not or if you want to come just for lunch then please let us know.

The cost is £19 a head.


Tuesday 6th August - Captain’s Sundown

From 6.00pm join the Captain for a glass of two of Whispering Angel on the terrace with a selection of Nibbles and our famous Homemade cheese straws.  Please sign up online if you would like to come.


Friday 9th August - Prize Giving and BBQ

Join us for a BBQ after prize giving. We will be serving Middle Eastern lamb and Cajun Blackened Pork with a selection of salads, followed by a delicious Homemade Pudding. 

Please book with catering staff for this BBQ.

The cost is £25 a head.


Opening Hours and Sandwiches


Opening Hours.

The clubhouse is open from 8.00am till 7.00pm every day, with last orders at the bar at 6.45pm.

If you want to spend more time out on the terrace after 7, then please order more drinks at 6.45 when the staff call last orders, you can then spend the rest of the evening enjoying the warmer weather with a glass or two.

We just ask that you leave your glasses at the spike bar door when you’ve finished.

Please be aware that at 7.00 the clubhouse and trolley shed will be locked so if you need anything from the changing rooms or need to put your clubs away then please do this before staff go home.


Sandwiches.

Sandwiches can be ordered anytime from 9.00 till 3.00 at the bar, if you want sandwiches after this time, please pre order them before you go out and we will have them ready for when you get in. You can also have sandwiches made to take away for those who fancy a snack on the course.


River Course Members.

Just to remind river course members that they are allowed to use the clubhouse, bar and order food and are more than welcome to join us for any of the lunches and events at the club.
