Bridge Events

Programme for Autumn and Winter 2023/24

Those who wish to meet informally at the Club to play Rubber Bridge may do so at any time where you can find a peaceful corner on our spacious clubhouse.  Tables, cards and scorers are available.  However, if you hope to meet others with or without prior arrangement, come to the Club on one or more of the following dates:

“Special Effort” Monday Bridge at 2.00pm  

• September 25th

• October 9th and 23rd

• November 6th and 20th

• December 4th and 18th

• January 8th and 22nd

• February 5th and 19th

• March 4th and 18th

Informal bridge using the Chicago scoring system.

There is no need to come with a partner. We normally change tables after four or eight hands, but you may stay with the same players if you prefer.

We play in the Dining Room with a break for tea.

These sessions will be hosted by Patrick Nicholls, Lotti Edmunds and Nick Holt.

Duplicate Bridge, Thursdays at 2.00pm

These sessions are held in the Dining Room with a break for tea and will be hosted by Sue Cook and Alan Biddlecombe.

Friday evening Bridge and Supper

Two-course meal with bridge prizes.

To enter use form posted on the Club notice board (no entry online)

Enter in fours, 10 tables maximum.
